Dear Friends,

It is with great concern for our players, sponsors and community, that the Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro has decided to cancel the 17th Annual John Roberson Golf Tournament which was scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2020 at Avalon Golf Club, Cape May CH, New Jersey.

The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the President of the United States and New Jersey’s Governor has recommended we cancel all in-person events that include 50 or more people for at least eight weeks due to the COVID-19 Crisis.  Since our annual tournament falls within that 8-week timeframe, we decided to quickly and thoughtfully inform you of this cancellation to minimize the risk of exposure.

To date, our 501 (c)3 non-profit organization has awarded more than $360K in scholarship funds to Cape May County Students.   Last year your support of our 16th Annual John Roberson Golf Tournament helped the CCWI Scholarship Committee award $21,000 in scholarships to Cape May County Students.

Even though we are cancelling our tournament, we will still be awarding scholarships in June 2020 to local high school seniors who are planning to further their education.  Therefore, we hope you will still consider supporting the CCWI Scholarship Fund by mailing in your player fee, sponsorship, or a donation of any amount that would help us to continue our mission of supporting local students.  Checks can be made to CCW Inc, with Scholarship Program in the memo and mailed to P.O. Box 412, Whitesboro, NJ  08252.

Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
